WELCOME TO THE WHALE!
WCKS The Whale is Grand Valley State University’s student-run radio station. We are located in 055 Kirkhof Center at GVSU’s Allendale Campus. (That's in the basement, back by the kitchen.)
Our format is a blend of current college alternative, classic alternative, classic rock, hip-hop, dubstep - even movie soundtrack music. We play something for everyone! We especially pride ourselves on our selection of the best in independent, underground, and previously undiscovered musicians.
Any member of the student body or faculty may become a DJ on WCKS, given approval by the executive board and training on the equipment. Take a look at the schedule, find an open spot, and contact a Whale board member!
Our meetings are held Tuesday evenings at 9:15 in 174 LOH.You are welcome to come and see what the Whale is about!
